  1. I don't know how it is for you but I'm incredibly moved by this interview. I hope Lol will know that I, like many of us, will always love him. I want to take time before writing to the boys about thecLondon show but I can already say that our teenage years were there, in front of our wet eyes. The Cure are exceptionnal and beyond exceptionnal.

  2. Thanks for uploading. It's nice of Lawrence Tolhurst to answer them, but it would have been even better had he answered these very carefully thought-out questions in more detail.

  3. Lol is one of the rare people to survive such a self indulgent lifestyle and live to tell the tale..
There was so much potential for it all to go pear shaped but he made such a crucial and confronting choice to turn his life around..
I admire him for what he has achieved personally and I especially admire Robert for letting the past go..
Lifelong friendships like this are very few and far between, it would have been such a shame had they not reconciled and to have to live with the regret of not knowing what could have been..

  4. @ notherbob
When you've loved someone like those two did, you can hate him but not stop loving him. They've been clever enough to forgive.

  6. "I was mercifully able to find the way out of that particular maze for which I am eternally grateful to many people but especially Robert. I feel he saved my life by firing me ... He had to do that to get me to wake up really."

What a truly beautiful, humble and grown-up thing to say, Lol.

I remember there was a Rapido (BBC) interview in 1989 where Robert said, "It's in his (Lol's) own interest not to be in the group at the moment, as much as it is ours".

    Bravo to you both.
