  6. That BBC review was total horsecrap. "The Wish" anyone? Jesus. I actually pay (through TV licence) the BBC. The least they could do is spend 15 seconds on Wikipedia or google to find out the names of the bands previous work
“Clebrating” How on earth can a reviewer of music go through life without a spellcheck?
Don't even get me started on a Girls Aloud version of Freakshow?!?!?.

  7. andrew , there's also "joi de vivre"
instead of "joie de vivre" The guy obviously didn't have enough time to read what he'd written

  8. still, I quite like the BBC one. His explanation of why it's stupid to call the cure "goth" was spot on, and it's so boring to see the word "goth" in the British press every time they mentioned the cure. I think the NME is going to do it again. Yawn.

  9. Revs review is easily the best one so far. I always take fan reviews with a pinch of salt (and will continue to do so even with her review) but my God that was well written and thoroughly thought out with attention and care.

  10. I stopped reading the bbc's critic after "The Wish"...fucking lazy english journos...Nothing new then, this album will come in for criticism from the English press(check out the Times review)...it's obviously a subjective point of view and they are entitled to it, but it just strikes me as too easy...in the UK there is so much music, fashion , art etc being fed to us that people always want more(but quality doesn't matter)...and then you have bands like The Cure, who, to my eyes and to a lot of people around the world, are still relevant, and yet the English press puts them down...The little i have heard of the album doesn't deserve such criticism
