German article about After The Rain

Laut has an article about the German version of David Fargier's first book 'Nach Dem Regen' ('After The Rain'). And here's an interview with David about his second book.

    I think neither Peter O'Toole or Frank Bell was the first singer. Frank Bell sung in Cult Hero and Peter O'Toole was the singer right before Robert became singer. They tried out many singers in the early years.

    I've read some Cure books (9 so far), including After The Rain. It's a pretty book, but tends to take some shortcuts in Cure's history.

    i read it in French...it's ok, but brings nothing new(as most Cure books tend to do these days).Hey RSX..you listening? 30 imaginary years is long overdue! Or 30 ways to skin a cat!

    kiia (or anyone having read (most) Cure books) - Which are the best books in your opinion? Could you rate them from 1 to 9, best to worse? I'm curious...

    Hey Fantac I think you only need to go directly to the source to get the rating for any Cure Book, this is almost verbatim, Robert said that every Cure book is totally wide of the mark and he has not interest in them at all. I asked him if he would ever write a book about the Cure and he made his trademark funny look and said the anniversary DVD will be his definitive statement and he see's no need to any Cure book as it loses the power of what they are really about - being music.

    That said of course, I have enjoyed every Cure book regardless.

    All the Cure books seem to be made by using the same source material (same articles, interviews, older Cure books), only the approach varies.

    "Ten Imaginary Years" is a must, because it's the only official book so far. Of the newer books, i would recommend "Never Enough" because it's written well and contains lots of information.

    @davidafter the rain...yes rev's post has the link i am refering to(in english).
    @alastair..i met RS backstage at the RAH in London 01/04/06 and asked him a few questions, and it's all supposed to come out "soon" in a book..je croise les doigts!let's wait fot THE anniversary...As posted above by me, 30 Imaginary years is long overdue, but 10 IY is still the only book i go by for Cure "facts"...the rest is lazy/cheap re-ash !
