The Fuse network’s second concert special from Madison Square Garden will be a show featuring British rockers The Cure on Friday, June 20, at 11 p.m.

The one-hour concert, airing the same night as the live event at the New York City arena, will be shown in high-definition and without commercials on the network, part of Cablevision’s Madison Square Garden unit. Fuse in February “rocked the Garden” with a Foo Fighters concert. The Cure is releasing a 13th studio record in early fall. Band members include Robert Smith, bass player Simon Gallup, drummer Jason Cooper and, back in the band for a third time, guitarist Porl Thompson. Popular songs include “Close to Me,” “Friday, I’m in love”, “Just like Heaven” and the track most recently covered by 311, “Love Song.” This is the band’s first U.S. tour in four years.

Update: Yahoo Finance also has a story on this.

  1. Sweet! Even if it is just highlights it'll be nice to catch them again (if only on t.v.)! The Houston show was amazing - then again I think most nights for this tour have been!

pssh, I hope RS decides to fuck em all and not play any of those. I know it's doubtful, but it would be amusing.
